Start Your Aeration System the Right Way

One Bad Startup Can Cost You Your Fish

Starting an aeration system too aggressively can pull low-oxygen bottom water upward too quickly. In many ponds, that deeper water can also contain harmful gases. When that happens, fish and pond health can be put at risk. OurPatent-Pending Slow StartControl helps reduce that risk by replacing the full-power startup with a controlled 15-day ramp-up.  The Slow Start Cycle is intentionally conservative for the first few days and smoothly ramps the daily run time up each day. When the startup cycle is complete, the controller allows normal operation of the compressor system.

Advantages of using the Slow Start Control

• Gradual aeration startup
• Helps prevent fish stress/kills
• Safely vents bottom gases
• Prevents oxygen shock
• Reduces startup temperature shock
• Ideal for deep/stratified ponds
• Consistent, controlled startup
• Minimizes operator error
• Great for remote installations

How Does it Work?

1.

Plug the Slow Start Control into a standard 120-volt power source. Then plug the compressor into the controller.

2.

Press & Hold the Start Button for 3-seconds or start a cycle using the web interface on your phone.

3.

Starting with a 1% Duty Cycle, the controller smoothly ramps the compressor run time up over the course of 15 days.

4.

After 15 days, the Duty Cycle has reached 100%.  The compressor is automatically returned to normal operating mode.
